A Heartwarming Event Sponsored by GCBA Members
The holiday season was made even more special this year with our latest GCBA Connect as a festive celebration at the Vancouver Christmas Market, where our amazing Christmas party continued in full holiday spirit. This memorable event was made possible thanks to the generosity of Malte, the co-founder of the Vancouver Christmas Market and a valued member of the German Canadian Business Association (GCBA). Malte kindly sponsored the entrance fee and even offered free Glühwein (hot spiced wine) for everyone, adding a touch of warmth and joy to the occasion.
The holiday cheer didn’t stop there. Vendors at the market contributed delicious treats that made the event even more magical. Guests were able to indulge in traditional German delights such as Christstollen (fruitcake), Gebrannte Mandeln (candied almonds), pretzels, and even truffle bread samples. The aromas of these festive treats filled the air, setting the perfect atmosphere for a truly enjoyable experience.
A special shoutout is also due to Kirsten, one of our board members and co-owner of ADEPT24 Business Solutions. As a dedicated vendor at the Vancouver Christmas Market, Kirsten organized the event. ADEPT24 set up five booths at the market, showcasing an impressive selection of traditional German gift items such as the renowned Herrnhuter Sterne (Herrnhut stars) and innovative TROIKA products, perfect for holiday gifting. Along with these gifts, Kirsten’s booths also featured Christmas treats like Stollen and gingerbread, adding a sweet touch to the market.
The Vancouver Christmas Market, a beloved tradition in the heart of Vancouver, brings a piece of Germany’s festive magic to Canada each year. From the festive lights and decorations to the array of authentic German products and treats, it’s no wonder that this event draws crowds from all over the city. Visitors can shop for unique gifts, enjoy delicious food, and immerse themselves in the holiday atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination for families and friends alike.
