“Exploring German Culture in Vancouver”
This month, some of our new board members had the pleasure of visiting both of the German schools in Vancouver, further solidifying our commitment to supporting and enriching the local German community.
Following the presentation, a lively and engaging Q&A session took place, where interested parents had the opportunity to ask questions and gain further clarity on various aspects of studying abroad. The session was highly successful, with all questions being answered comprehensively, providing a deeper understanding of the possibilities that lie ahead for students seeking international education experiences.
Next, we made our way to the Surrey German Language School‘s Maifest, a celebration of German culture and language. It was a joyous occasion, made even more special by the presentation of certificates to graduates of A1, A2, and DSD2 levels (DSD1 students still have to wait for the results). We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates for their hard work and dedication.
The presence of Hans Stocker, Deputy Consul General, added prestige to the event. He also had the honor of handing out the certificates to the graduates, making the occasion even more special. The Maifest itself was a resounding success, with families enjoying the festivities under the warm sunshine. It was a true celebration of community and culture, highlighting the vibrant German presence in Vancouver.

Both, the Vancouver Westside German School (VWGS) and the Surrey German Language School (SGLSS) are integral parts of our network, and we are delighted to continue supporting them in their mission to promote German language and culture in Vancouver.
Here’s to many more fruitful collaborations and celebrations of German culture in our beautiful city!
